Tech Support Specialist

- Position: Tech Support Specialist
- Location: Remote
- Terms: Full-time and Part-time
- Pay: Hourly rate – to be discussed during the interview process
Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical assistance to users via phone, email, or chat
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, or connectivity issues
- Guide users through step-by-step solutions with clarity and patience
- Escalate complex cases to appropriate internal teams when necessary
- Document technical issues and customer interactions for reporting and analysis
- Stay up to date with product updates, system changes, and new technologies
- Help customers feel confident and supported in using technical products
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor—even during high-pressure situations
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s in IT or related field is a plus)
- Previous technical support or IT helpdesk experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting and logical thinking skills
- Proficiency with Windows, macOS, or Linux environments
- Basic understanding of networking, internet protocols, and system configurations
- Experience with ticketing or CRM systems (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, or Jira)
- Friendly, customer-focused mindset with a passion for tech
Work Environment:
- Ongoing usage of phone, remote access tools, and computer systems
- Your Work From Home environment must be a private, quiet space located at the address on your personnel file
- You will need to provide a stable broadband internet connection
- Active mobile phone service is required for account verification
- Your workstation must be connected directly to the internet with proof of a minimum download speed of 10 Mbps and upload speed of 3 Mbps
