Accounting Specialist

Job Description:

Voodesk is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. This is a remote position with the opportunity to work with an international team and support clients across various industries.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Generate and send invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Support tax preparation by organizing and maintaining relevant documents
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Communicate with clients to resolve any accounting-related issues
  • Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) for efficient management
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping (2+ years preferred)
  • Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, or Zoho Books
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good written and spoken English communication
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks remotely
  • Reliable internet connection and quiet work-from-home setup
Work Environment:
  • Remote Position: This is a fully remote role, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home.
  • You must have a quiet, dedicated workspace free from distractions to ensure high-quality work and communication.
  • A reliable internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload) is required.
  • Computer and Software: You will need a personal laptop or desktop with at least 8GB of RAM and the ability to run accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
  • Communication Tools: You will be expected to use video conferencing and collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, etc.) for team meetings and client communication.
  • Time Management: You will need to manage your own schedule effectively, ensuring that deadlines are met and reports are completed on time.
