Accounting Specialist
Job Description:
Voodesk is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. This is a remote position with the opportunity to work with an international team and support clients across various industries.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
- Handle accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Generate and send invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts
- Support tax preparation by organizing and maintaining relevant documents
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Communicate with clients to resolve any accounting-related issues
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) for efficient management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping (2+ years preferred)
- Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, or Zoho Books
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good written and spoken English communication
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks remotely
- Reliable internet connection and quiet work-from-home setup
Work Environment:
- Remote Position: This is a fully remote role, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home.
- You must have a quiet, dedicated workspace free from distractions to ensure high-quality work and communication.
- A reliable internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload) is required.
- Computer and Software: You will need a personal laptop or desktop with at least 8GB of RAM and the ability to run accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
- Communication Tools: You will be expected to use video conferencing and collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, etc.) for team meetings and client communication.
- Time Management: You will need to manage your own schedule effectively, ensuring that deadlines are met and reports are completed on time.
